Welcome to Libbaton Golf Club


Libbaton Golf Club is a parkland golf course, set in the beautiful and unique North Devon countryside.


The par 73 course features some of the finest fairways and toughest greens in the county offering a challenging and enjoyable play for both low and high handicap golfers.


The course consists of five par 5’s, nine par 4’s, and four par 3’s all of which create a true test of golfing ability.


The golf course enjoys spectacular views across the rolling North Devon countryside with a wide variety of wildlife, flora and fauna on every fairway, lakes and ponds coming into play for nine of the holes.


Steeper gradients have a part to play on five holes but in the main the hills are gentle and undulating.


Libbaton Golf Club offers a well stocked golf shop run by Lucy Leatham and a floodlit driving range with seven bays.


Lessons are available from


the golf professional, Michael Parker and club hire for both adults and juniors.


Power Caddies are available for hire. Trollies are allowed on the course all year round.


We have a number of competitively priced membership packages available.


The Club House is set alongside the delightful 18th green and offers a pleasant ambiance and convivial atmosphere for members and visitors alike.


Whether you are enjoying a drink on the 19th on a society day or booked in for one of our famous carvery lunches, Libbaton offers excellent facilities and refreshments from our first class and experienced hospitality team.


If you are planning a celebration, the clubhouse and grounds offer an ideal backdrop to corporate events, charity days, wedding receptions and family occasions and celebrations.

DIRECTIONS


By Car: Libbaton Golf Club is easily found 1/2 mile south of High Bickington on the A3127. It is well signposted from the A377 at Umberleigh and Kingford Hill with the brown tourist attraction golf flag sign.


By Train: It is possible to travel from Barnstaple, Exeter and further away by taking the train on the beautiful Tarka Line. Trains stop at either Umberleigh or Portsmouth Arms and we can recommend several taxi services that can meet you on arrival.


The course and facilities


Built in 1986, the course at Libbaton was designed to take advantage of its surrounding beautiful countryside and the hundreds of mature trees, hedges adjacent to the course and water and streams passing through it.


Over the years a


considerable amount of trees have been planted to create new vistas and define the lines of the fairways.


The signature hole on the course is the third which is a par 3, 154 yards off the whites, over the pond onto a sloping bowl green.
