Film Collaborative launches LGBT initiative


The Film Collaborative has launched a new distribution initiative for LGBT films, FestSelects. Distributors on board are


Peccadillo (UK), Outplay (France), Pro-Fun (Germany), ABC/Cinemien (Benelux). They will aim to share


resources and launch films simultaneously in multiple territories when possible to maximise awareness and limit piracy. The group will champion gay and lesbian films that have risen to the top of the festival circuit.


The effort hopes to save on costs

Sweden (Tri Art). A La Mode has picked up UCR’s 7 Days In Havana for Germany. A La Mode and Wild Bunch Germany jointly acquired Haute Cuisine and Lou Ye’s Mystery. Other popular Wild Bunch titles


include David Gordon Green’s Sus- piria remake which has sold to Japan (Comstock), Latin America (Gussi) and Germany (Koch). Vincenzo Natali’s Haunter has


also sold to Gussi and Koch Media. Gussi also picked up Mexican


rights to Brian De Palma’s Passion and Marina De Van’s Dark Touch. Comstock and Broad Media Sys- tem bought it together for Japan. James Gray’s untitled film has


sold to Latin America (Cinevideo) and Japan (Gaga). Populaire has sold to Japan (Comstock/Gaga), Italy (Bim), Spain (Vertigo) and Germany (StudioCanal). Valérie Donzelli’s Hand In Hand

Vinterberg moves into Commune
