The team engaged with customers like no other stand did, and carried out in depth interviews with nearly 200 in- ternational buyers, all of which       Argyll and The Isles, and a real west highland welcome. The stand attracted a lot of VIPs, we even had his grace the Duke of Argyll come and give us a hand. Privately we were told that our stand had set a new standard, and was the most talked about in the show.’


Meanwhile, demand from oth- er Argyll and The Isles based businesses has resulted in the team doubling their book- ing to 12 stands for the 2013 Expo in Glasgow. Meanwhile, the new VisitScot- land Tourist Information Centre on Oban’s North Pier seems to have been a successful move with visitor numbers up


on the previous year.


Following structural damage at its successful site in Argyll Square and a subsequently far less popular move to the CalMac ferry terminal in the town, the new premises have come as a welcome relief for all concerned -
