over the August Bank Holiday Weekend 25th - 27th August 2012
ELIGIBILITY: The tournament is open to Men and Lady amateur golfers who are members of affiliated golf clubs. Maximum Combined Handicap Limit: 18
SCHEDULE OF PLAY: 3 Days of competition golf over the country’s most famous and historic Championship Links. • Friday 24th August – Practice Round p.m. • Saturday 25th August – Match play Rounds 1 & 2 and Consolation Scratch Competiton. • Sunday 26th August – Match play Round 3 & 4 and Consolation Scratch Competiton. • Monday 27th August – Semi Final and Finals and Consolation Scratch and Handicap Competitons.
TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS: • The tournament is run on a knockout basis. Matches are played over 18 holes, with sudden death being played if necessary. • The Committee reserve the right to accept or refuse any entry without disclosing any reason. • Competitors who withdraw after the draw has been made must notify the Secretary as soon as possible. Subject to RLGC approval, they may nominate their own replacements.
• The Committee reserve the right to disqualify competitors who are late on the 1st tee or who are guilty of slow play.
SOCIAL PROGRAMME: Full programme of Social Events including complimentary welcoming Reception in the Club Room on Friday 24th August 2012 at 7.00 p.m.
ENTRY FEES:
• £60.00 per golfer. • £30.00 per golfer who is a member of RLGC or RLLGC. • £50.00 per golfer who is aged 23 or under on 30th June 2012 and is in full time education or training. • Single entries will be accepted subject to a maximum handicap of 6. Every effort will be made to find partners. Entries are limited to 64 couples and should be made on the pro-forma below accompanied by the appropriate entry fee to: The Secretary, Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Meols Drive, Hoylake, Wirral, Merseyside CH47 4AL Cheques should be made payable to The Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
ENTRY CLOSURE DATE: Entries close on 30th July 2012 at 5.00 p.m. If the tournament is oversubscribed, a ballot will be held as decided by the Committee.
