Producers run for Cow US producer Max Howard and Munich-based Papa Lowe Filmproduktion are partnering with Torsten Poeck and UK-based writer-producer Kirsty Peart to develop the partly animated family feature film, Cow On The Run. The true story of Yvonne, the bovine bandit from Bavaria, will be brought to the screen in collaboration with Gut Aiderbichl, Europe’s largest animal sanctuary, where Yvonne now lives.
108 Media grabs trio Canadian distribution and international sales company 108 Media has added three titles to its EFM slate: And Now A Word From Our Sponsor, directed by Zack Bernbaum and starring Bruce Greenwood and Parker Posey; Fondi ’91, which is directed by Dev Khanna, about a New Jersey soccer team’s raucous trip to Italy; and Haiti Unplugged, director Daniel Oron’s film about four musicians who travel to that country.

story of two childhood friends who fall in love with the same girl. A love triangle develops until she suddenly leaves town. Thirty years later, while on a business trip, the woman decides to meet them

again, which brings back old memories. Urban Distribution Interna-
tional has scheduled an additional market screening for tomorrow at 13:10 at CinemaxX 2.

KWA notches up the sales

rights in Croatia (HRT) and in Slovenia (RTV Slo). Singaporean slasher movie
Macabre (on KWA’s Elixir Asian action slate) has gone to Japan (Only Hearts). The film, directed by the Mo brothers, has also been snapped up for Canada (Mon- grel), the UK (High Fliers), Ger- many, Benelux and Australia (I-On New Media) and France (La Fabrique). It is also in negoti- ations for a US deal. Another Elixir horror, Vampire
Warriors, has gone to Germany (Tiberius) and the UK (Arrow), while its Act Of Grace has gone to the UK (High Fliers). KWA’s Leti- cia Tonos film Love Child (La Hija Natural), the Dominican Repub- lic entry for the Oscars, is close to a US deal.
