EASY PICKER GOLF PRODUCTS INC

Easy Picker Golf Products, Inc. is sad to announce that we lost a great man, George Hedlund our Founder and Owner.

Mr.Hedlund passed awayNovember 14th, 2011 after a short but painless battle with Bone Marrow Cancer and Kidney Failure.

George Hedlundwas not amanwhomoved through life in halfmeasures whether it involved starting a business or playing inweekend skins game with his buddies.Georgewas amanwho in the classic sense represented the rollupyoursleeves mentality typical of many people involved in the golf range industry. Easy Picker Golf is where it is today due primarily to George’s drive, product line innovation and commitment to salesmanship.

In 1983 Easy Picker Golf was officially launched in California and the decision was made to attend their first trade show, the Golf Course Superintendents Show in Las Vegas,Nevada. While working the show, George decided to leave the show floor, return to the hotel, grab the phone book and made several phone calls to set appointments at local courses. After demonstrating howwell the range pickerworked,George quickly sold 5 pickers. A big sales day in those times.

In 1985 at the PGAMerchandise Show,George attracted large crowds to the booth by using a TV video loop, an innovation at the time that is commonplace today. Selling driving range ball pickers is all George cared about.

The business continued to flourish in the 1980’s and George added a ball washer to the product line. George’s plan was simple: “Before we undertook the introduction of any product we decided it would have to combine the bestmaterials and craftsmanship producing the longest life possible.” To this day, Easy Picker products are considered the standard bearer in the industry for quality and long life.

In 1997 George decided to make a fresh start and moved Easy Picker company headquarters to Lee County, Florida where the company remains today. Easy Picker now had a state of the art production facility and over half of the employees from California made the move to Florida, a testament to the loyalty andespritdecorpof the organization. Most of these employees are stillwith the company today and Easy Picker Golf continues to be one of the largest range equipment producers in the world.

As Easy Picker Golf moves forward, we will continue to support the legacy that George Hedlund began. Easy Picker will remain a leader in the industry and will supply the finest in driving range equipment and customer service for the long term. The staff at Easy Picker remains intact and will miss George very much!!
