Nevertheless successive annual UK Fire statistics showthat faulty appliances and leads continues to pose a growing problemas the main cause of accidental fires in other (non dwelling) buildings – rising from26%of all such fires in 2000 to 34%in 2008 (the last year for which figures are available).
