Buyers shout for The Match Factory’s Voice The Match Factory has closed more deals on Benito Zambrano’s war drama The Sleeping Voice. Deals have been signed for Brazil (Imovision), Colombia (Cineplex) and Latin American pay-TV (Movie City). The film gets its market premiere today.
Freestyle hits the trail for Donner Pass New digital platform Freestyle Digital Media has acquired US rights to Arroyo Filmworks’ thriller Donner Pass, directed by Elise Robertson and produced by Mouncey Ferguson.
Epic Pictures goes to War Epic Pictures Group is handling international sales on Tripod Entertainment’s $10m 3D animation War Of The Worlds: Goliath. Epic chief Patrick Ewald is showing a promo to buyers and plans a 2D screening at the EFM in Berlin in February.
Buyers feel Headwinds

December, Filmcoopi handles Switzerland.
Bac continues to do good business on Frédéric Jardin’s action thriller Sleepless Night, after announcing a US sale to Tribeca Film earlier this week. Vendetta Films has picked up Australia, Sonamu will handle it in Korea and Shooting Stars has the Middle East. Bac releases in France next week and Warner Brothers has already bought US remake rights. Shooting Stars also took Middle Eastern rights to Bac’s Americano.

ARC, XLrator clocks 96 Minutes

release in early 2012 on the story starring Brittany Snow and Evan Ross. Aimee Lagos directed from her
screenplay about four people whose lives converge in a shock- ing way. 96 Minutes premiered at SXSW and Lee Clay, Justin Moore- Lewy, Charlie Mason and Paul Gilreath produced. Barry Gordon of XLrator Media
negotiated the deal with Ben Weiss of Paradigm. Content holds international rights.
Jennifer Lynch talks thriller Chained
BY JEREMY KAY Jennifer Lynch, the director of Boxing Helena and Surveillance, is now in post on her thriller Chained, which Myriad Pictures is selling internationally here at the AFM. “It is about how monsters are
made,” says Lynch. “It’s a genu- ine Frankenstein story about how violence on a child [can create] violence in an adult.” In the Saskatchewan-shot
project, Vincent D’Onofrio plays a serial killer who holds a child hostage for 10 years in a bid to teach him his evil ways. Lynch lavished praise on young actors Evan Bird and Eamon Farren, who won the role after a Skype audition from his native Aus- tralia. Paramount-based Envision
Media Arts financed the project and Envision partners David Buelow and Lee Nelson produced with Rhonda Baker.
ZDF visits Killing House
BYSARAH COOPER ZDF Enterprises — the commer- cial arm of German broadcaster ZDF — has boarded Mythic Inter- national Entertainment’s action thriller The Killing House, directed by Jonathan English (Ironclad). Shooting is due to begin in
May 2012 in Germany, Belgium and Hungary. Casting is under- way on the project. Mythic’s Andrew Curtis and
Rick Benattar will produce along- side English.

Perpetual, Prescience set up Bridgeworks Perpetual has merged its bridge-lending operations with UK financier Prescience. Perpetual MD Alastair Burlingham will join Prescience to head its bridge and tactical funding operations via a new specialist lending arm, Bridgeworks Capital.
Fast Girls revs up for shoot Ealing Metro International has announced Regan Hall’s sports drama Fast Girls will start shooting on November 21 in London. StudioCanal has set a June 8, 2012 UK release. In a busy January and February, US shoots will also start for Bailout, Better Living Through Chemistry and Nina.
