ELC, founded in 1962, is an independent non-profit-making, charitable, educational foundation with a long tradition of providing quality English language teaching for adults in a friendly, professional environment. Facilities include free WiFi throughout, 30 classrooms, a separate business centre, interactive whiteboards, student common room, student ‘kitchen’, lecture hall, supervised study centre and computer room. Founded in 1969, ELC Bristol runs courses for around 190 adult individuals from more than 30 different countries. We do not accept groups or juniors and this helps maintain the unique atmosphere in the school. Students are typically in the 18-30 age group. A special advantage is that our students can use the facilities and join the social clubs of the University Students’ Union – the perfect way to make English friends.
