KfW Bank to bridge gap
BY MARTIN BLANEY Germany’s KfW Bank Group has launched its raft of fi lm-fi nancing instruments for development funding, as well as interim and gap fi nancing. drawn up by KfW and state min- ister for culture Bernd Neumann after consultations with the fed- eral fi nance and economics min- istries as well as the Producers Alliance, is designed to counteract the limited range of products for fi lm fi nancing in Germany. Meanwhile, the State of
Brandenburg and Berlin’s invest- ment banks ILB and IBB revealed they made a record $27m (¤20m) available last year for loans and guarantees as part of their bridg- ing fi nance scheme. Wim Wend- ers’ Pina, Miranda July’s The Future, Marjane Satrapi’s Chicken With Plums and Hermine Huntge- burth’s Tom Sawyer all benefi ted.
