the promotion of Josh Batushan- sky to vice president operations and marketing, Robert Blomquist to vice president personal lines and Michael McCarthy to vice president commercial lines. Batushansky joined the compa-
ny in 1997 as an intern and has steadily climbed the ranks during the past 13 years toward this pro- motion. He has a B.S. in market- ing from Montclair State Univer- sity and an M.B.A. from Drexel University, LeBow College of Business. Batushansky is Six- Sigma Green Belt certified, sits on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Young Insurance Pro- fessionals and has met with sever- al New Jersey Congressmen to lobby for the independent insur- ance agent.
Blomquist joined the company in 1999 as the manager of Bar- clay’s first branch office located in Deptford. He has been in the in- dustry for 22 years. Starting off as a Prudential agent and eventually being promoted to a sales manag- er position before joining Barclay. He now manages the operations of two offices (the second being a recently acquired office in Cher- ry Hill). Blomquist is a member of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and Deptford Busi- ness Advisory Committee. McCarthy entered the industry
in 1976 with Liberty Mutual and has held sales positions with Cor- roon and Black of PA and the J.S Braddock Agency prior to joining The Barclay Group in Riverton in 1997. He is the current president of the Independent Agents and Brokers of Burlington County.
Osteopathic Association The American Osteopathic As-
sociation recently named Car- man A. Ciervo, a board-certified family practice physician on staff with Kennedy University Hospi- tal, as a finalist in their Mentor of the Year Recognition program. Established in 2005, the program honors those who help shape the future of the osteopathic medical profession through their involve- ment with students and young physicians. Dr. Ciervo, a resident of Marl-
ton, was selected as one of five fi- nalists nationally for the award. As a finalist, he will be honored during the Distinguished Mentor Reception on Oct. 25 at the AOA’s Annual Convention in San Fran- cisco, where the Mentor of the Year will be announced. Dr. Ciervo, a member of the

Dr. Ciervo earned his medical
degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1988, and completed his residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. Dr. Ciervo was inducted into the American Osteopathic Associa- tion Mentor Hall of Fame in 2006 and received the National ACOFP Excellence in State Society Lead- ership Award in 2008. As a member of ACOFP, Dr.
Ciervo has served on the Industry Relations Committee, as chair of the In-service Exam Committee and vice chair of the Committee on Evaluation and Education. Past President for the New Jersey Chapter for ACOFP, Dr. Ciervo is also a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the American Osteopathic Associa- tion, and American Medical Asso- ciation.

partner of the immigration law firm of Klasko, Rulon, Stock & Seltzer, LLP has been selected chair of the EB-5 Investor Com- mittee of the American Immigra- tion Lawyers Association for a second term. According to AILA, the important EB-5 Visa program was created “to attract immi- grant investors to the United States to invest capital, create jobs and stimulate the economy.” Klasko is a former national
president and three-term general counsel of AILA. Klasko is listed in the 2011 edition of the Best Lawyers in America and is named one of the country’s top immigration lawyers by Cham- bers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2010. A fre- quent lecturer and prolific author on immigration law topics, Klasko is one of only three immi- gration lawyers ever honored by AILA with the Founders Award, given to the individual or group who has had the most important impact on immigration law. A graduate of Lehigh University (B.A. 1971), Klasko received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D. 1974).

The New Jersey Energy Coalition Robert K. Marshall, formerly of
Atlantic City Electric, has been named executive director of the New Jersey Energy Coalition, a broad-based advocacy group whose goal is to generate public support for the production and delivery of affordable, clean, reli- able energy in New Jersey. Marshall recently retired from Atlantic City Electric, Pepco Holding’s Southern New Jersey electric delivery subsidiary. Dur- ing his 33-year career with the company, Marshall held several management positions, including regional vice president for gov- ernment and external affairs. Marshall’s business, profes- sional and community affilia- tions include service on many nonprofit boards and trade groups. He currently serves as co- chair of the Southern New Jersey Development Council Energy and Environment Committee and as chair of the Leadership New Jer- sey Graduate Organization. Mar- shall is a graduate of Rowan Uni- versity and Monmouth Universi- ty.
