With the increasing use of ISO containers by metals recyclers to export their products worldwide it is becoming more essential to be able to load containers in a safe, efficient, fast way achieving the maximum payload possible.

Dunn Brothers have developed two machines to achieve these objectives;

‘Drive Through’ Inverter for 20’ containers

This machine has ‘Drive Through’ or ‘Reverse in’ capability depending on your situation and provides the fastest and easiest method of attaching the containers to the machine of any ‘tilter’ on the market. The machine is wider than any other in the market making it much easier to use for the delivery vehicle driver. This is made possible by chains suspended from the frame of the machine on the end of which are lockable container hooks which the operator moves to the container lugs saving time over the traditional method of the driver having to place the container accurately adjacent to fixed rams.

Once connected the container is lifted from the vehicle, which moves out of the machine, and after closing the rear support gate, it is tilted to 90 degrees for loading achieving the optimum load.

Once loaded the access ladder and platform allow the operator to safely close and lock the doors before lowering.

This new technology is extremely user friendly and allows the loading of up to 4 containers per hour.

Accurate weighing is carried out while loading and relayed via load cells to the operators remote controlled handset avoiding under or over loading.

This machine can be adapted to handle 40’ and 20’ containers if required. Horizontal Injector loader for 20’ and 40’ containers

To load 40’ containers, with difficult to load materials such as cables, Dunn’s have developed a horizontal injector loader which can be charged with material prior to the container arriving.

The hopper is loaded with the maximum amount of material, monitored by in built load cells.

When the delivery vehicle arrives he reverses the container via fixed guides to the charged hopper. The hopper is gently injected into the container on skids and rollers placing the full load into the container without any damage to the container. The hopper sleeve is then removed by a horizontal ram whilst a bulk head holds the load in place.

Loading is fast and safe without the need to remove the container from the delivering vehicle.
