Operational Control of 1 Palace Street and Abercrombie House Gymnasium and Fitness Facilities
Innovative and progressive, qualified Corporate Fitness Management Companies are invited to invited to take part in a PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) exercise for the following service: The provision of managing in-house gym/fitness facilities at the Department for International Development, in both 1 Palace Street, London and Abercrombie House, Eaglesham Road, East Kilbride, Scotland. The contract will be initially for three years, reviewed annually, commencing in early October 2010 with the possibility of a further 2 year extension.
There are approximately 1000 and 600 employees on each site (including other government department staff), respectively. Each site has a gymnasium and small fitness studio. Both sites are fully equipped and have been in operation for a number of years. Funding will be fully generated through staff membership/class fees. The gym’s current opening hours are from 07.30 to 19.30 Monday through to Friday. We are very interested in examining flexible and innovative ways of supporting both facilities.
