Here are just a few of the Call for Papers that are current- ly under consideration elsewhere around the country: Indiana Music Educators Association will sponsor a research poster session at its conference in Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, January 19, 2008. Qualitative or quantita- tive research that is either completed or in-progress on any topic relating to music teaching/learning will be consid- ered. Deadline for submissions: December 1, 2007. Submission procedures: All submis- sions should not have been published prior to the conference, and meet the Code of Ethics published in the Journal of Research in Music Education. The South
Carolina Music Educators Association will sponsor a research poster session at its conference in Charleston, SC on Saturday, February 9, 2008. We are accepting submissions of completed

and in-progress studies being conducted by undergraduate students, graduate students, university faculty, and practic- ing teachers in public or private schools. This poster session is open to papers involving any aspect of scholarly research in music, including those that are philosophical, theoretical, or historical in nature, as well as reports that are qualitative or quantitative in design. Deadline for submissions: December 1, 2007. Submission procedures: All submissions should not have been published prior to the conference, and meet the Code of Ethics pub- lished in the Journal of Research in Music Education.
