The newly repaved Sunset Speedway is just one reason to be optimistic about the 2010 racing season.

Even though it was a relatively mild Canadian winter, it still managed to wash away many

of the memories and frustrations of the 2009 racing season. As we look ahead to the summer of 2010, there is a sense of renewal and rejuvenation in the air.

While the economy is hardly firing on

all cylinders just yet, gone is the sense that we could be heading into another Great Depression. The feeling of shock that hit in late 2008 and sent everyone scurrying back into their shells for 2009 is gone. And the consensus is, it’s time to come out and live (and race!) again. On the weather front, last summer

stunk. Plain and simple. Sunny week- days gave way to soggy weekends… every weekend, it seemed. Closing the chapter on 2009, the consensus is ‘good riddance’ and I hope we don’t see an- other one like you in our lifetime. On the bright side, most things seem

to balance out. Let’s hope the theory holds on the racing front, because we’re all due a little positive payback.

In your hands is the 2010 edition of In-

contains schedule and contact informa- tion for every Canadian series and track we could find. As we always do, we hope you keep

this in your car, truck or ‘reading room’ and that it’s thoroughly dog-eared and worn-out by the end of the year. We also urge you to reference it and
