‘Local Edge Radio’ moves to Friday
Progressive talk show Local Edge Radio is moving it’s briadcast from Saturday afternoon to Friday afternoon.
The show will now be heard from 3 pm to 6 pm on Friday on 880 the Revolution, broadcasting throughout
Buncombe County. During the show’s first six months, co-hosts Blake Butler and Lesley Groetsch net-
ted interviews with a number of
political notables, including Sen.
Kay Hagan, Gov. Bev Perdue, and
Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill.
The show also features a pot-
pourri of arts, music and enter-
tainment geared towards eclectic
Asheville tastes. Live musicians,
filmmakers, chefs, athletes and au-
thors have all appeared. “Asheville
progressives are multi-dimension-
al,” said Groetsch. “A popular live
musician is likely to be a central
figure in local political activism.
We never stay on one subject for
too long because the show has a
life of its own, just like our lis-
teners.”
Groetsch is the Chief Marketing
Officer at Reynolds Mountain in
Woodfin.
The show can also be heard
at the station’s Web site,
www.880therevolution.com. Lo-
cal Edge Radio takes live callers at
