We’ll be Home for the Holidays – With Your Help!
Each weekday, Meals On Wheels serves up friendly visits and a hot, nutritious lunch
to 62 homebound seniors living in Weaverville and North Buncombe County. They
provide helpful programs that go a long way in allowing the elderly to remain in their
own homes among familiar surroundings and maintain their dignity while aging. This
benefits the senior, their family and our local community.
Meals On Wheels is NOT a government agency. We’re a grass roots, locally-based
non-profit that is committed to serving homebound seniors in Buncombe County. Our
small staff together with an army of over 350 volunteers tackles the job of feeding
over 500 people each day. Over the years, we’ve grown to become Western North
Carolina’s largest meal delivery service provider because of the support we receive
from Buncombe County residents, businesses, churches and civic groups.
This holiday season we hope you’ll consider making a donation to Meals On Wheels
so that together, we can help our homebound seniors stay in their home for the holidays
and all year long!
