Hartland Abbey
Magical in spring, the path from Hartland Abbey which
runs down for a mile towards the Atlantic is covered with
primroses, violets and bluebells. Earlier, in March, go to see
the daffodils on a special opening day, 21st March.
This is the first Daffodil Day at Hartland Abbey, organised this
year instead of the snowdrop days held in previous years.
Teas and refreshments will be available, proceeds going to
St.Nectan’s church nearby, and there will be the chance to see
parts of the grounds not always open. Go to see the cottage
featured in BBC TV’s adaptation of Sense and Sensibility.
In April there will be Bluebell Days, on Sundays 18th and 25th April.
From March until October you can go to see the garden in its

and bulbs of springtime, through the herbaceous borders, roses
