Mixed fortunes
Music course hits the right
after kick-off

A NEW academic year also signals the
kick-off for the new Southwark College
football season. The trials for the team
were held and players picked for a new
campaign.
However, due to the college starting later
than usual this term, the players had
little time to prepare for their opening
fixture of the season.
It was a tight contest but Southwark
always chased the game. After a difficult
first half, Southwark made some
substitutions and showed a marked
improvement
This was a home match against Tower
Hamlets and the visitors were hungry for
revenge after Southwark beat them 2-1
last year. Unfortunately Tower Hamlets
came out on top on this occasion, winning
a 4-3 thriller.
