as these closed channel forms reduce the loading on the blade
walls as well as wear on pump rotors and seals. Sodick claims
this is at a fraction of the cost of milling, particularly when
working with superalloys and when the ‘nano-wear’ capability
of the Sodick generator is taken into account.
