Sardinian Places has taken on a further nine properties for 2010, including the three-bed Villa Ruby in Alghero, and the three-bed Casa Rosa in Cannigione. Corsican Places, a sister brand under Serenity Holidays, has added 18 properties for 2010, and is chartering flights from Stansted to Corisca Calvi between May and October.

Air Malta has increased its Gatwick-Malta frequency from 13 to 14 departures per week (twice daily). It already flies Heathrow-Malta twice daily. The airline is also offering agents rates of £69 return including taxes and charges for travel before June 30.

Italian airlines Eurofly and Meridiana merged in February to form Meridianafly. The airline flies direct from London to Florence, where the airport is 12 minutes from the city centre and owned by the airline. It also codeshares with British Airways from London to Rome and Milan.
