inspired by hedonism
rather than a sense of
responsibility. But in
these days of growing
eco and social con-
sciousness, even romantic clients could
be keen to limit their environmental
footprint, or perhaps impact on their
destination in a more positive way,
by volunteering.
Other off-beat honeymooners are
keen to embrace the “holiday of a life-
time” concept, not by lying on an idyllic
beach but by packing their trip with
adventures. The good news is that the
opportunity to combine romance with
activity now extends way beyond the
perennially popular African safaris.
