Theclasses—I ntroductiontoEngineeringDesign,PrinciplesofEngineering,DigitalElectronics,and
EngineeringDesignandDevelopment—are integratedwithmath,computerscience,and
engineeringgraphicscoursestoofferstudentsacomprehensivefour-yearpre-engineering
educationsequence.OnlythefirsttwoPLTWcoursesarerequiredforallstudentsintheacademy.
Theacademyisenjoyingaboominpopularity.Fromabout160academystudentsinthe
2005–2006schoolyear,nextyear’senrollmentisprojecttobemorethan200students.
