Katie Strickland has 23 years of Barn Management experience; including travel- ing the world for competitions like the 2015 Pan-Amer- ican Games and
working for the US Olympic Team. She currently lives and works in Georgia where she manages the barn at Spring Creek Farm. In ad- dition to grooming, Strickland has specialized in nutrition, physical therapy, strength and condition- ing, as well as rider athletic train- ing. She has worked with greats like Mara DePuy, Bruce “Buck” Davidson and Will Coleman.

Joe has been working with horses for more than 30 years. He has owned, trained, and shown several breeds in his life. For the past decade, he has worked
with the wild ones. He competed in 15 Extreme Mustang Make- overs (EMM) and placed in the top ten nine times. He was the champion of the 2014 EMM in Norco and was invited to the Mustang Magic competition fi ve times. Since 2008, Joe has been a Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) trainer for the Mustang Heritage Foundation. He participated in a wounded warrior program where veterans came out to work with mustangs adopted by the pro- gram’s sponsor. He also worked with high-risk teenagers training them how to train horses. In 2014, Sacramento Sheriff ’s Department hired Joe to train inmates to be horse trainers for their new Wild Horse Program at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Facility. Joe uses
natural horsemanship techniques based on approach and retreat to gentle and train the wild horses. He teaches the trainers, many of whom have never been around horses, these techniques and how to be a leader for the horses. Joe is dedicated to helping fi nd BLM mustang’s forever homes.
