Contents Dear Reader,
Happy New Year, and welcome to the latest issue of Education Today. 2016 is an auspicious year for the magazine – we are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year, and have marked this fact by featuring some of the UK educational landmarks over the past 25 years. So much has happened in the sector over the past 25 years that it’s been a tricky job condensing it all into a timeline, but the results are on pages 22 and 23 – I do hope you enjoy it!
In our main feature, we take a look ahead to the upcoming Bett show, which won’t have escaped your attention if you have any interest at all in classroom technology. The team will be at the show as always, and we’re looking forward to meeting as many of you as we can. Elsewhere, our regular contributors have been busy – Kirsty Bertenshaw looks at getting your
lessons off to the best “snappy” start, Capita SIMS’ Graham Cooper offers his thoughts on the revised Ofsted safeguarding framework, and how schools might deal with it, and Alicia Blanco-Bayo looks at the meaning of mark-making in an Early Years’ context. We also have the usual mix of commenters offering their thoughts on topics as diverse as alumni networks, preventing radicalisation and cloud technology.
Remember, you can get in touch with us via Twitter, Facebook and our homepage, as well as by phone or email. We love hearing from you!
