BOOK NOTES

William Pinson, Jr., and Doris Tinker, Baptist Beliefs and Heritage, Baptist Identity Series, Texas Baptist Heritage Center, 2014

Norva O. Rodney, Mission in a New Key: Soundings in Practical Theology

Drawing on the Caribbean experience, Jamaican pastor Norva Rodney advocates a rethinking and reimagining of Christian mission in the 21st century.

Distinguished Texas Baptists William Pinson, Jr. and Doris Tinker have coordinated the work of a number of “professors, pastors, deacons, Sunday School teachers, historians, theologians, and editors” to produce the Baptist Identity Series. This is a rich resource for Baptists and other evangelical Christians. Regularly updated information on the “Bible-based doctrine, polity, heritage, ministry, and organization of Baptists” is made available through the website: www.baptistdistinctives.org. This resource is likely to become perhaps the most extensively used product of the Texas Baptist Heritage Center. Basic texts in the series are also available in print.
