CDE ANNOUNCE TWO DEMONSTRATION

EVENTS IN GERMANY Materials washing specialists, CDE Global will be hosting two demonstration events in Germany in the months ahead – one near Cologne in April and the other in Stuttgart in June.

T

he Cologne event will be hosted at a site operated by Joseph Bohnen GmbH where CDE equipment is being used to process sand and gravel. The plant includes the

M2500 mobile washing plant, AggMax portable logwasher and an AquaCycle thickener which facilitates the recycling of 90% of the water used in the washing plant. Introduction of the AquaCycle

thickener was critical to the success of the plant for Joseph Bohnen GmbH as a result of difficulty accessing the volumes of water required to feed the washing plant. “Water is not readily available at the quarry and we also required a plant that would require minimum space on site” says Mr. Matthias Haus, company Director at Joseph Bohnen GmbH. The plant was designed with a focus

on resource and energy efficiency and as a result of the solution offered by CDE the company was able to secure funding from the BMU Environmental Innovation Programme. This was possible as a result of the capability for the plant to recycle 90% of wash water by introducing the AquaCycle thickener but also as a result of the reduced CO2

omissions as a result of the efficient

deployment of clean, electric power and the small plant footprint. The demonstration events at Swistall

Quarry will take place on 21st and 22nd April 2015 and the CDE Business Development Manager for Germany, Mr Paul Larkin expects a busy two days. “The modular nature of our equipment is proving very popular” explains Mr Larkin. “It is increasingly the case that operators are looking for equipment with a small overall footprint, that is quick to set up and can be operated efficiently in relation to both the power required and the water volumes

needed. Our equipment design also highlights that mobile and modular does not involve compromising on access or safety for site personnel. Our design simply integrates a number of processes onto a single machine ensuring the most efficient transfer of material from one processing phase to another and maximising product yield for our customers.” Following the event in April will be

another demonstration event on the outskirts of Stuttgart in June. This event will take place at a site operated by Feess Erdbau in Kircheim Recycling Park where a CDE plant for the recycling of construction, demolition and excavation waste has been operating for the last 18 months. This will be the second demonstration

event hosted at the Feess Erdbau site – the first taking place in September 2014. This was a project that was supported by the EU Eco Innovation Fund as a result of the product developments it launched including enhanced mobility, reduced plant footprint, a reduction in CO2

emissions from the

plant and the development of new sludge management technology. “We expect visitors to the June event to

come from all over the world” explains CDE Regional Manager for Europe & Russia, Mr Eoin Heron. “We had visitors from throughout Europe as well as Australia,

the US, Middle East, Africa and Brazil in September and we’ve already taken registrations for the June event that indicate it will have the same international appeal.” The plant at Feess Erdbau includes the

M2500 mobile washing plant, AggMax portable logwasher, AquaCell thickener and a decanter centrifuge for sludge management. “The application of the M2500 and AggMax on these contrasting applications is evidence of the versatility of the machine” explains Eoin Heron. “As well as sand and gravel, crushed rock and construction and demolition waste we have also developed specific machines for silica sands, iron ore and other mineral ores.” According to Mr Heron these 2 events

in Germany will be followed by additional demonstration events in Europe as well as Brazil, Australia, USA and India. Further information on all of the events at which CDE will be represented is available at www.cdeglobal.com
