Cost-effective equipment and repair services


Since 2011, TENACORE UK has been supporting EBME departments throughout the NHS with quality and cost-effective equipment and repair services. As a service provider, Tenacore works with EBME departments to support them with repairs performed both in-house and out. The company is able to repair, exchange, and offer replacement parts for monitors, modules, telemetry transmitters, oxygen blenders, CTG transducers, infusion


pumps, ultrasound probes, and flexible and rigid endoscopes.


In addition to repair services,


Tenacore offers OEM compatible SPO2 probes, ECG cables, and CTG transducers, as well as its own line of oxygen blenders and blender overhaul kits. Quality control inspections are performed on all finished devices and repairs using test equipment calibrated at specific intervals and traceable to NIST standards.


New infusion device


HOSPIRA has announced that it will be launching its new Plum 360 infusion device platform into the UK market. The Plum 360 device incorporates the already established benefits of the Plum A+ infusion system with added feature enhancements such as a tilted screen, tubing guides and a new keypad design. The Plum 360 device will continue to benefit from the special design of the dedicated cassette technology allowing for a dual system delivery, including concurrent and ‘piggyback’, while also providing a closed system via its easy air elimination capability without disconnection from the patient.


Technologies for haemodialysis and CRRT


ASAHI KASEI MEDICAL provides high performance disposables and high technology equipment for haemodialysis, CRRT and apheresis therapies. Developments on show at the exhibition include: • Kibou – Asahi’s Kibou CRRT system seeks to push back the boundaries of CRRT management. The system can be used for adult or paediatric therapies, with either citrate or heparin anticoagulation. The generic line system allows simplified treatment changes to suit clinical needs. Additionally plasma exchange treatments can be performed.


• Plasauto ∑ – Apheresis treatments such as plasma exchange, adsorption and double filtration (DFPP) can be performed with the Plasauto ∑ utilising a wide range of high performance plasma filters, component separators and Immuno-adsorption columns. The product utilises a high accuracy single scale system to accurately calculate fluid flow rates. This multifunctional system can also be used for CRRT.

Probe repair services


GE HEALTHCARE has introduced the new ‘Oneself’ platform alongside its proprietary probe repair service ‘Unisyn’, offering support to the biomed community incorporating equipment information, as well as parts procurement, and probe repair solutions.


By offering an entire in-house support solution covering Life Care Solutions and Ultrasound products, GE healthcare aims to support, inform and drive clinical excellence through its Oneself membership. Supporting its probe repair and replacement service, a new Centre of Excellence has also been opened in Freiburg, German, to grow the company’s repair capabilities. GE now offers comprehensive probe repair and replacement contracts offering significant savings for the UK ultrasound market.
