A fourth-grader’s lament In early November last year our church school started learning words to a Christmas carol they were to sing in worship during December. Between verses, a fourth-grader raised his hand and asked, “Are we only going to sing church-related songs or will there be some traditional Christmas ones too?” You don’t get much more traditional than church-related Christmas songs .... Trying to be helpful, the Christian education director brought in a globe, to which I playfully said, “Get out of here with that globe.
