He’s one of those guys behind the camera whose vision brings the dazzle and gloss of this make-believe world to life in photographs and onto the pages of fashion magazines. It was inevitable that one day he’d marry the loves of his life and when the opportunity arose in 2006 he called it, appropriately,
WATER.COLORS. From a modest beginning that saw

simple ideas become reality, to big budget commercial shoots, the
WATER.COLORS initiative has given expression to the unlikely proposition of taking fashion, and much more, underwater, and in 2011 to the publication of a 120-page coffee table book that captures the spirit of his endeavour in, well, in a truly colorful fashion.

The professional shooter and long time The award-winning photographer says,
“There’s something mesmerizing about the way models and fabric move underwater that makes them a dream to photograph.” He’s been at it for most of a decade but is quick to add that, “An underwater shoot today is just as satisfying as the very first frame I shot.” As a commercial photographer, he shoots all manner of subjects and has plenty on his plate, but no matter how busy he gets, Wong is passionate in his belief that
WATER.COLORS would always be a part of his practice.
Business Reality A hectic schedule today means that WATER. COLORS has become the exclusive preserve of his commercial work. Recently he shot an ad underwater for a foam bath brand. At the outset, his fledgling underwater photography enterprise was a mix of personal fashion projects and paid jobs. Now he’s so busy there’s no time to pursue projects of his own.
