Captain Marshall Stein of Coroloma, reported angler Nick Heinz, of St. Louis, Missouri, used live anchovy top catch a 6.5 red snapper and 7.5 pound lingcod off Anacapa.
Whoppers of the Week
Anglers out of Hooks Landing reeled in some large catches such as Bobby Bronson, of the San Fernando Valley, who posed with the 17 pound sheephead he caught aboard New Hustler off Santa Rosa Island. Bronson used live anchovy to catch the fish aboard the boat captained by Capt. Chris Volaski.
