Section Women Transport Workers’ Representative – who is a member of both the Section Committee and the Women Transport Workers’ Committee;


Section Young Transport Workers’ Representative – who is a member of both the Section Committee and the Young Transport Workers’ Committee; and


Six members of the Section Committee who are not elected by the Regional Conferences. 5.2


Voting will be conducted on the basis of a simple majority in which the candidate (or candidates) with the highest number of votes cast is elected. The elections will take place as follows:


(i) Nominations for the post of Chair will be invited; (ii) Nominations for the post of Vice Chair will then be invited; (iii) Nominations for the Section Women Transport Workers’ Representative will then be invited to be put forward to the Women Transport Workers’ Conference;


(iv) Nominations for the Section Young Transport Workers’ Representative will then be invited to be put forward to the Young Transport Workers’ Conference; and (v) Nominations for the six additional members will then be invited.

If there is more than one candidate for any of the above elections, a secret ballot will take place amongst all affiliates in the Civil Aviation Section. Voting will be using ballot papers prepared on the basis of the paid-up membership of the union in the Civil Aviation Section in accordance with Rule XIV paragraph (8) of the ITF Constitution.

The Section Committee includes the Section Officers, the Section Women Transport Workers’ Representative, the Young Transport Workers’ Representative and the Regional Officers, who, with the exception of North America, are elected by the Regional Conferences for endorsement by the Civil Aviation Section Conference. Therefore, the North American Civil Aviation affiliates are invited to advise the Conference of their representative.
