10 | ADVENTURE KAYAK Hey, I Know

that Spot… Last issue, our new Launch column debuted with a local lowdown on Florida’s Nature Coast from area paddlers, Erin Leigh Rohan and Scott Smith (www. rapidmedia.com/0201). One of the highlights of kayaking Florida’s springs, writes Rohan, is seeing the gentle manatees. Many readers reported on Adventure Kayak’s Facebook page that they were familiar with the area. “Just observed three manatee in the Wakulla River last weekend,” commented Theresa Harrell. “Been there many times and love it,” wrote Darlene Dunn. For others, like Hurt PD, “It’s on my to do list.”
