ENCLOSURES & AIR MOVERS PRODUCTS FIRE RATED
JUNCTION BOXES Two series of fire rated junction boxes are now available from Ce-Tek. The CEP range is manufactured from GRP and has thick walls; while the CEX series is in 316L stainless steel. Both have been passed for use to IEC331 at 750°C for three hours and BS6387 CWZ at 950°C for three hours – C is resistance to fire alone; W is resistance to fire with water; and Z is resistance to fire and mechanical shock. In addition,
both comply with BS8519-2010 for Life Safety Applications which states that the junction boxes need to be rated to
the maximum temperature of their internal components.

REGULATE TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY
The temperature and humidity in enclosures can be regulated with Axair’s new Fandis dual thermostat. The dual system device means it is
possible to control ventilation and anti- condensation systems independently and simultaneously, from one compact unit. In addition to not having to install two
devices, the bi-metallic twin thermostat also offers a reduction in temperature
ANTI-VANDALISM ENCLOSURE HANDLES
With theft of enclosure contents and general vandalism continuing to increase, FDB Panel Fittings has introduced two new anti-vandalism handles – a stainless steel swinghandle, and a zinc die pop-out T handle. The 7-061NT IP65 stainless
steel swinghandle is tested in accordance with DIN 1630 and features very narrow gaps to minimise access for simple tools like screwdrivers. It also has a protective housing which
prevents the lock cylinder from being pushed through, a covered front to protect the cylinder and its flush design minimises leverage from tools. It
also has tough AISI 316L stainless steel construction, enabling its use in extremely harsh environments. Complementing the
7-061NT is a 3-145 retractable T handle in black finished zinc die. This is designed for two separate locks, a keylock and/or a padlock eyelet for protection against
unauthorised access.

fluctuations, fan noise omissions and power consumption, and it will help to extend fan lifetime, explains the company. The CE approved unit operates from
-10˚C to 80˚C and runs on voltages between 100Vac and -250Vac. It is housed in a durable polyamide casing and fitted via a simple snap-on process, easily attaching to a standard (EN 50 022) 35mm rail.
