PRODUCTS INNTERCONNECTION HIGH VIBRATION CONNECTORS

A vertical configuration version of Molex’s DuraClik 2.00mm pitch wire-to-board connectors has been released. The new connector is ideal for on-board automotive instrumentation, including steering wheels, gear sticks, wipers/indicators,

headlights, inverters and air conditioners, in addition to electric bicycles, trucks, cranes, factory automation equipment and other high vibration applications. This series includes

right-angle and now vertical configuration connectors to meet various space constraints and harness installation needs. The new vertical configuration connectors feature receptacles mounted in the vertical direction of

the headers mounted on the boards. They are specifically designed to improve harness installation in small spaces such as automotive applications. An enclosed contact design protects against dust and damage. The inner-positive lock mechanism ensures secure mating, while preventing latch breakage that can occur from wire tangling.

MEDICAL CONNECTOR RANGE

Smiths Connectors has expanded its Hypertac HyperGrip product line for medical and other high reliability applications. This product range now offers more configurations, including connectors with 5 (HG0), 19 (HG3), 33 (HG4), or 80 (HG6) pin positions to complement the growing 12-pin position connector (HG2). Also available, is a shielded version for the HG2, HG3, and HG4 size options for EMI/RFI protection as well as Spring Probe, Fibre Optic (expanded beam and butt joint) and Coaxial contacts. These devices are designed specifically for the medical industry, offering

a wide range of benefits, including user-configurability, an aesthetic design with push-pull latching for easy one-hand mating, and sealing and shielding options. Sealed connectors deliver up to IP67 protection when mated and EMI/RFI shielding protects against signal interference in electrically noisy environments, allowing for the highest degree of safety and reliability within applications. The connectors feature an innovative keying system and colour-coding

that makes recognition simple and incorrect mating less likely while facilitating quick connections on medical equipment. The range offers six different keying options from a set of common components aiming to reduce cost, lead time and inventory. cy logging while reducing the power consumed by data write cycles. MOBILE COMMS DEVICE A new

connector solution designed specifically for the mobile

communications sector has been developed by HUBER+SUHNER. This device offers a very low PIM

performance together with significant weight and size advantages. A key feature of the 4.3-10 is the separation of the electrical and

mechanical planes to provide a PIM and RL optimised contact, no matter which coupling mechanism is selected. These characteristics allow the company to offer the connector plug with a screw, hand screw or quick lock design on one universal female connector to simplify installation while offering a very high electrical performance for all mechanisms.
