Luxembourg’s new Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, recently presented a Government Declaration to the country’s Chamber of Deputies, in which he outlined details of plans to reform taxation in the country. The aim of the envisaged tax reform is to boost growth and to create jobs in Luxembourg, whilst simultaneously generating additional revenues for the state. New EU VAT Rules for 2015 On January 01st 2015, changes will be made to the European Union VAT place of supply of


services rules involving business to consumer supplies of broadcasting, telecommunications and e-services. To explore these changes and those affected, Grant Thornton’s Finbarr O’Connell discusses the extent of the reforms and what businesses should consider ahead of the imminent changes.
