Welcome to thei inter airport South East Asia – Singapore 2015 Newsletter


On behalf of the organisers of inter airport it gives me great pleasure to be working on the return of inter airport to South East Asia. Some of you will remember that the exhibition ran successfully in Singapore from 1997 through to 2001 before the event headed into China to serve their substantial expanding market.


After months (in fact years) of talks and co- operations with the relevant authorities in Singapore, namely the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Singapore Tourism Board a date was confi rmed to return inter airport to Singapore. In fact inter airport South East Asia Singapore 2015 will take place in the same venue as the previous two editions in 1999 and 2001.


A lot has changed in the region since 2001, fuelled by the substantial rise of the middle classes in the whole region and huge number of young educated professionals entering the work force. All 10 of the ASEAN economies are growing at rates that the rest of the world are envious of. Indonesia alone is the world’s 5th


over 210 airports. The AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) which will come into effect in 2015 will further boost the regions markets and growth potential. In short the region is


a very exciting place to be investing in and growing your business.


The booming growth in South East Asia is highlighted by the dramatically rising passenger numbers. Through both personal and business travel this steep rise underpins the massive investment from all countries in the region, in airport development. Over the next 20 years the aviation market in South East Asia is forecasted to grow by 8.4% per annum, this is faster than any other region.


All of which provides the perfect backdrop for inter airport’


s return to South East Asia.


As with the inter airport shows in Europe and China, inter airport South East Asia - Singapore will provide the airport industry in the region access to the very best suppliers in the world. All in the quest to create better airports in South East Asia.


This newsletter gives you a progress report of the show to date and provides you with all the information you need in order to visit or exhibit with us in Singapore in January 2015.
