FOUR NEW members of the board of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) have been appointed. Michelle Francis, Dr Jackie
Hyland, Nick Martin and Trisha McAuley all started in their new post on a part-time basis from January 1. Michelle Francis is qualified to
MSc level in environmental science and has worked as an environment and sustainability professional for 20 years in both the public and private sectors. She is currently director of sustainability at Catalyst, a sustainability consultancy practice. Dr Jackie Hyland qualified
in medicine at Edinburgh University and holds a position as a consultant in public health medicine with NHS Tayside. She has a strong track record in environmental protection within the health sector, and has been closely involved in reviewing the evidence for improving health through sustainable development as chair of the Scottish Sustainable Health Network. Nick Martin is head of corporate development at the Weir Group. He is expected to bring commercial experience in manufacturing and engineering services to the SEPA board in addition to skills in strategic
planning, financial analysis and change management. Trisha McAuley is currently the director for Scotland of Consumer Futures, formerly Consumer Focus Scotland. She aims to bring a wide range of expertise to the SEPA board including consumer affairs, stakeholder engagement, policy development, regulated industries and change management. SEPA chairman, David Sigsworth,
said: “The four new members to SEPA’s Agency board will add considerably to the strengths of existing board members, helping steer and implement the changes already under way within SEPA.”
Isotrak appoints Price as marketing director

RECOLIGHT, THE specialist WEEE compliance scheme for the lighting industry, has appointed Adrian Willis as new membership development manager.
ISOTRAK HAS appointed Jason Price as sales and marketing director. He joins the provider of fleet logistics and telematics solutions having worked for IT firms such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and managed services specialist K3, fuel management company TriScan, and telematics provider Microlise. Price joins as the Milton Keynes based company is expanding into new markets as demand for telematics is reportedly growing in areas such as the utilities and service industry. Enitial strengthens monitoring team
ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING and management specialist, enitial, has appointed two employees with expertise in the air quality sector and solar energy to develop and improve the services the company provides. Ibai Castezubi and Shaun Grainger have been recruited as air quality liaison manager and low energy and solar pump liaison manager respectively. With over 10 years of experience in the environmental services sector, Castezubi will be managing air quality monitoring for a number of enitial’s clients in the public and private sector.

He has overseen quality and environmental management systems and is certified to the Environment Agency’s Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCERTS) in the area of air pollution and emissions. Castezubi will be involved in ambient air assessment, landfill gas and stack
emissions monitoring as well as local exhaust ventilation systems, bioaerosol surveys, occupational hygiene and odour assessments. In another division, Grainger will be targeting landfill operators to offer low energy and solar pumps which extract leachate at landfill sites. A member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and Solar PV qualified, Grainger has previously worked at a solar company where he managed both commercial and domestic solar panel installations and contracts. Grainger said: “More and more landfill operators are turning to renewable energy such as solar power to improve their carbon footprint. The possibilities are endless; from using landfill gas to generate energy and transforming closed landfill sites into solar farms so I am excited to develop this side of enitial’s business.”
