FMT-400 Modular controller

Britain, gives the user a choice of rack sizes and power options allowing it to be configured to the application requirements.

T

The FMT-400 provides 300k bytes of user RAM, caters for 1024 digital inputs and 1024 digital outputs. It will also accept 256, 12 bit analogue inputs and set 256, 12 bit analogue outputs and caters for up to 8 communication ports RS 485 and RS232. The process power of the system is augmented by the provision of user functions such as 16 and 32 bit registers, timers, counters and programmable text strings.

The FMT-400 is part of the Colter UK manufactured

FMT range and is programmed using the FLEX PC programming software which is provided free of charge.

he 781S Series Low Volume Low Pressure (LVLP) spray systems provide consistent coating of low to medium viscosity fluids. Microliter to milliliter amounts can be reliably dispensed in round patterns with diameters ranging from 4.3 to 50.8 mm (0.17" to 2.0") and in fan patterns with widths up to 165.1 mm (6.5"). The combination of adjustable fluid flow, adjustable nozzle air and post- air cutoff provides excellent spray control. The system includes compact spray valve, ValveMate™ controller and tank. The controller is set for length of time and air pressure required for precise coverage. Programmable nozzle air delay after each spray cycle keeps the spray nozzle clog-free and reduces maintenance and downtime.

When Split Seconds Count MVK Metal 7/8" with Fast Start-Up Function

urrelektronik's tough fieldbus module, MVK Metal with 7/8" connection, is now available with Fast Start-Up and galvanic separation. Fast Start-Up gives you the shortest possible setup and start-up times. This is extremely important for paint shop and materials handling applications in the automotive industry. On automotive assembly lines there are many robots that have to perform multiple tasks. Each separate task requires a change in their tools. Therefore, several hundred tool changes might be carried out over the course of a day. These connecting and reconnecting processes need to be done in the shortest time possible for the robots to achieve

M

maximum productivity. Therefore, the time between connecting power to the robot and the first cyclic data exchange has to be as short as possible. With the integrated ProfiNet function Fast Start-Up, or FSU, MVK meets the demanding requirements for start-up times: within 400ms of a tool change, the module is operating. The MVK Metal fieldbus module with 7/8" connection also meets the requirements of the automotive industry in several other ways. Its solid zinc die-cast housing makes the module is resistant to weld spatter, oils and lubricants.

in minimum space - New performance class for WAGO controllers

ased on a real-time Linux® operating system, WAGO's new PFC200 controller is a major advance in measuring, controlling and visualising technology. It provides a high level of computing power in minimum space via Cortex-A8 technology, whilst also being extremely competitively priced. Ideal for a variety of process industry applications, the PFC200 for the WAGO-I/O SYSTEM 750/753 meets the growing need for space saving controllers, allowing communication with lower- and higher-level systems and is suitable for standard PLC applications. Despite its compact design, the controller offers many features: two ETHERNET ports provide communication with other control systems and - depending on the model - additional interfaces are available (e.g., CAN, PROFIBUS, RS-232/RS-485). The CANopen, PROFIBUS DP and Modbus-TCP/-

UPD/-RTU protocols provide flexible connection to fieldbus systems and external input/output devices. These fieldbus systems can be easily configured

directly in the development environment. The ETHERNET interfaces also support the DHCP, DNS, SNTP, FTP, TELNET and HTTP protocols. A safe connection is provided via SSH, HTTPS and FTPS. Besides multiple interfaces, the PFC200 also features enough memory space for various applications via internal 256 MB flash memory and integrated interface for SD/SDHC cards. A 128 kB remanent memory area is also available for non-volatile storage of retain PLC variables. CODESYS software is incorporated for both programming and process visualisation. The integrated web server allows you to configure and operate the PFC200 easily using web-based management via the network.

It can also be configured via standard Linux® consoles. Besides IEC 61131-3

programming languages, projects can also be written in C, PHP or shell scripts. Programs and libraries created in any types of programming languages can interact with CODESYS applications.

Stainless steel disc springs added to spirol range

conical washer type components designed to be axially loaded and provide high levels of deflection resistance within a very small space.

N

ow available from Spirol industries is a range of stainless steel disc springs.

Disc springs are They can be

assembled into stacks to achieve load characteristics to meet the specific needs of any application. The new austenitic stainless steel disc springs are manufactured from SAE 301 stainless steel and have a plain finish. They can be used in a wide range of applications where anti-corrosion properties are essential. Spirol’s disc springs are produced in accordance with DIN 2093 which sets out the tolerances, size range and materials to be used.

The stainless steel range covers outside diameters from 8.00 - 71.00mm with material thicknesses 0.4 –2.00 mm as standard. Special size disc springs,

tolerances and materials can be supplied and Spirol also provides an Optimal Application Engineering process to help customers to design a new application or redesign an existing job, resulting in a fastening solution with lower assembly costs.
