SPICED CARAMEL NUTS
¼ cup (50 mL) butter (½ stick) ½ cup (125 mL) packed brown sugar ¼ tsp (1 mL) vanilla extract ½ tsp (2 mL) Cinnamon Plus® or pumpkin pie spice
Spice Blend
½ tsp (2 mL) salt 2 cups (500 mL) pecan halves, walnut halves, whole almonds or whole cashews
1. Place butter into Classic Batter Bowl or Round Covered Baker. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH 30–60 seconds or until melted. Stir in brown sugar, vanilla, spice blend, salt and nuts. Mix well.
2. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH 4–5 minutes or until golden brown and mixture appears glossy, stirring every 30 seconds. Spread into a single layer onto Reversible Silicone Baking Mat. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
