TRAVIS BELCHER RUSH CREEK LAKE, OHIO
Travis Belcher was fishing the Buckeye Tournament Trail when he caught this fat five-pound largemouth. “She’s currently sitting in second place,” he says. Travis was last seen fishing for the first place bass.
STEWIACKE RIVER, MAINE JOHN GIBSON
John caught his personal best striped bass by letting a soft plastic swim bait drift in the current. “The fish was a hog, but it was a relatively short fight,” he says, “I snapped some photos and released the fish.” Watch the video at

MARTIN PETTERSON MAL PAIS, COSTA RICA
KYLE MCDOWELL MOBILE BAY, ALABAMA
When Kyle cast a small soft plastic between a sailboat and a
dock, he didn’t expect to catch a 27-inch trout. “I was amazed,” he says. “It’s my personal best trout to say the least.”
CONNER CRUTHIRD SILVERHILL, ALABAMA
Four-year-old Conner Cruthird’s first bass was a big one. He was fishing worms for bream with a Zebco 33 when this bucketmouth took the bait.
This 26-pound snapper crushed a Rapala plug. “That’s fishing in Costa Rica,” Martin says, “you never know what are you are going to catch; little sea bass to massive snappers.”
ROBBIE LUNDBERG PENSACOLA, FLORIDA
Robbie fished all night for this gag grouper, his biggest yet. “Between my buddy and me, we landed 30 red snapper, this grouper, a few monster sharks and our first king mackerel of the year,” he says. Robbie was scoring points for Team Pedal Pirates in the Kayak Wars tournament.
NATHAN BLANKENSHIP BUCHANAN, VIRGINIA
“At first, I thought I was snagged,” Nathan says about hooking this 42-inch musky on 10-pound test. “Then I saw the fish and thought, no one is going to believe this.” We believe you now.
CHARIS GREGORY FLINT RIVER, GEORGIA
CHICKAHOMINY RIVER, VIRGINIA BILLY FARMER
Nice guy. Billy let his fishing buddy Tommy Willcoxson borrow his heavy catfish rod for this trip. “I ended up hooking this fish on my light-weight jigging rod,” he laughs, “took me 25 minutes to land him.”
Fishing runs in the family. Jackson Kayak’s Drew Gregory and sister Charis have a sibling rivalry. “I caught the biggest and most fish that day,” Charis says, “a sister’s gotta show off sometimes, right!”

DAN SCANLON PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA
This 26-inch trout is Dan’s personal best. “I caught her on a MirrOdine in two feet of water on West Bay,” he says, “can’t wait to catch her again when she is 30 inches!”
RACHEL ADRIEN ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA
“Rachel caught her first trout this day,”
writes husband Ben, “This was her third fish—a 25 incher!” Now that’s beginner’s luck.
DUSTIN RICKARDS ESTERO, FLORIDA
“I caught this beautiful 26-inch redfish while sight casting in Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge,” Dustin says.
