Words From the Editor 2012 Dear Members,
It's hard to find a place to
start...so much has happened to us. I thought 2011 was chock full of great people, places, & Willys Jeeps...2012 was absolutely incredible! To be quite honest, it's been a bit of a roller coaster ride, with fast-paced twists, turns and loop-de-loops. Thanks to all of you, Kaiser Willys grew at a staggering pace this past year, which has allowed us to expand our community outreach. If you haven't looked at the Blog Photo Gallery lately, it has grown to well over a 1000 new members - Willys photos for days!
This year, Willys Jeep Life conducted interviews with some really great people including the Celebrate Freedom Foundation's Larry Polsley and Gary Anderson along with York County Cultural and Heritage Museum's historian Michael Scoggins - great bunch of guys. Our small restoration series, Build Your Willys, has been so well liked that we have added a 1946 CJ2A, 1964 CJ3B "High Hood", 1962 M38A1 and Mike's 1962 Willys Truck to the restoration roster alongside our 1944 GPW and 1959 CJ5. Now, if you're saying "wow that's a lot of work", we agree, finding these vehicles was no easy task in itself, which inspired us to create the "Jeep Hunter's Field Guide" (pages 36-47) to aid in Willys Jeep rescues - Happy Hunting!
In addition, we published
www.WillysJeepForum.com where adding your "two cents" will help to enrich everyone's life in the Willys Jeep community. There is also the Kaiser Willys Jeep Observer, our free E-dition, newspaper with articles, crossword puzzles, interesting links &
more...not to mention the enormous amount of people who have joined our Facebook page. Like it now - you won't be disappointed!
