KEEP WRESTLING IN THE OLYMPICS: The sport of wrestling continues to receive worldwide support in its quest to keep wrestling in the 2020 Olympics and beyond. An update is published for the wrestling community on this effort.
U.S. OPEN: Jordan Burroughs, Kellen Russell, Spenser Mango and Elena Pirozhkova were among the champions crowned as the U.S. Open returned to Las Vegas on April 18-20. There were 21 wrestlers who earned titles.
MAN ON A MISSION: 2011 World Team member Reece Humphrey is on a mission after missing out on competing in the Olympics in 2012. Humphrey defeated 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Coleman Scott to win the U.S. Open.
MARINE MAKING MARK: David Arendt Jr., who has served two tours in Afghanistan with the U.S. Marine Corps, made a huge splash by capturing a U.S. Open championship in Greco-Roman wrestling at heavyweight.
