ENTERTAINMENT Activities


The activities team works hard to cater for resident’s individual interests and requests, holding 4-5 different activities each day. There is also a range of larger events including theatre trips, Gala Dinners, special event celebrations and the annual Shelbourne Summer Fete.


We at Shelbourne consider activities a vital part of every Resident’s life. A monthly program of activities and events as well as mini bus trips are displayed on the notice board in the Tea Palace. Activities sheets are distributed in communal areas which advise of forthcoming activities and trips. Larger events are hosted each month and Resident’s family and friends are always encouraged to join in.


A wide activities range will be included in the programme such as arts and crafts, painting clubs, flower arranging, entertainers, live music, guest speakers, exercise classes, visits to exhibitions or museums, gardening activities, various games and reminiscence sessions.


Outings


Details of which will be displayed on the notice board in the Reception area. Our minibus is scheduled for regular shopping trips, weekly drive-out’s or other excursions as mentioned above. Theatre trips, day trips and pub lunches are arranged and organised through the Activities Manager.


Larger events are hosted each month and Resident’s family and friends are always encouraged to join in.
