OFSTED CREATES TOOLKIT TO PROMOTE PARENT VIEW Ofsted has produced a toolkit for schools to help them promote Parent View, its online questionnaire for parents to give their views on schools. The toolkit includes a leaflet and poster, as well as tips and case studies and is designed to help schools encourage parents to complete the Parent View questionnaire throughout the year and during an inspection. The Ofsted website also features a video demonstrating how to register for the questionnaire and set up alerts about schools.

EDUCATION ‘HELD BACK’ BY OUTDATED PRACTICES Research reveals the education sector is suffering from out-of-date working practices more than any other industry, as it struggles to keep up with the pace of technology-led change. Eighty-eight per cent of those surveyed within educational institutions across Europe by Ricoh said the way they work is out of date and prevents them from being as effective and efficient as they could be, which could have a significant impact on their ability to effectively deliver high quality education services.
