Last month was a really exciting one for the A1 team as we danced our socks off at both the VM and Display Awards and POPAI Awards. Two extremely important events in the retail calendar, these Awards recognise the hard work and dedication of those individuals that make our shopping experience that bit more exciting. We’ve listed all the deserving winners in our coverage of the Awards, so if you’re looking to talk to some innovative thinkers then look no further! With the nights getting darker, now is the time for retail lighting to prove its
worth. We’ve spent the last month talking to those behind some of the loveliest retail lighting schemes to get behindthescenes knowledge of how best to keep the dark days looking bright and lively. Christmas is just around the corner, and we couldn't be more excited about it!
We’re going to be putting together an incredible feature on Christmas Windows in our bumper December/January issue, so this month we’ve eased ourselves into the Christmas spirit by chatting to the lovely Retail Champion Clare Rayner, who is spearheading a campaign to get us shopping with our local independent retailers this Christmas. The ‘Celebrate an Independent Christmas’ campaign is set to be a great injection of interest in independent retailers, who often struggle to be seen amongst the huge marketing budgets of larger stores. We’ve packed lots of hard work into this month’s issue and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together!
