We are pleased to announce, through the generous gifts of our membership, coaches and supporters, that $29,406 has been raised for the USA Weightlifting & USOC Challenge Grants matching program. All monies raised up to $50,000 will be matched by the USOC, which means your gifts actually equal $58,812!


With the London Olympic Games completed, the focus of our organization and our athletes is now on the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. USA Weightlifting can only be successful with the necessary training programs for our athletes and development programs for the future stars of our sport. Training camps are a proven tool for competitive success and can cost in excess of $1,000 per athlete. That burden weighs on USA Weightlifting’s shoulders. Unlike most competitive countries, USAW receive no government support or funding; we operate mainly on marketing partnerships, memberships, and donations from members and fans just like you.


The USA Weightlifting & USOC Challenge Grants matching program runs through December 31, 2012. If you have not already done so please consider making a tax deductible gift today. Remember if you gift $20 it’s actually $40!
