I say ‘autumn’, you say ‘fall’, but let’s not call the whole thing off just yet. After all, as summer in the Mediterranean draws to a close, the winter season opens with the excitement of major events on both sides of the Atlantic.


This year’s yacht shows promise some extraordinary opportunities, and Burgess is your ticket to get on board. In September, we are presenting a selection of fabulous yachts at the Cannes Yacht Show as well as at the Monaco Yacht Show, giving potential buyers additional options for viewing both pre-owned and brand new vessels. Later, in October, we will be at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, representing the growing strength of the US market with some of the world’s most prestigious fl oating real estate.


From September to spring is also the perfect time to go island hopping in the tropics. It is surprising how few Mediterranean regulars take advantage of the superb cruising territories closer to the Equator, where the seas are blue, the water crystal clear and the anchorages considerably less crowded.


The scope for winter fun in the islands of the Caribbean, Bahamas and Indian Ocean is especially rich this year, with a number of fantastic superyachts available for charter for the fi rst time. If you have never tried a winter charter before, make 2012/13 the year to broaden your horizons. We look forward to welcoming you on board soon.
