Preparing for your First Teaching Post seminars

The NASUWT is running its series of free professional development seminars across the UK this summer to offer guidance and support to new teachers.

The seminars cover:

current changes to education policy and their impact on new teachers;

information about your rights as a newly qualified teacher and how to navigate the induction process;

behaviour management support; and

the support offered by the NASUWT to new teachers.

The events are taking place in venues in every region of the UK throughout August. For full details, visit the NASUWT website at www.nasuwt.org.uk/NQTSeminars, where you can book your place. Alternatively, call the NASUWT Conferences and Events team on 0121 453 6150. Students will need to convert to full NASUWT membership to attend the events. You can do this by calling the NASUWT Membership team on 0121 457 6211.

The conferences include travel, meals and overnight hotel accommodation, if required. There will be a social event during the evening prior to the conferences, which will include an evening meal and networking opportunities.
