NORTH AMERICAN RESCUE C.A.T.®

Tourniquet The C-A-T®

utilizes a durable windlass system with a free-moving internal band providing true circumfer- ential pressure to the extremity. Once adequately tightened, bleeding will cease and the windlass is locked into place. A Hook and Loop strap is then applied, securing the windlass to maintain pressure during casualty evacuation. The C-A-T®

’s unique

dual securing system avoids the use of screws and clips which can become difficult to operate under survival stress or where fine motor skills are com- promised.

MAT Mechanical Advantage Tourniquet The Cybertech Mechanical Advantage Tourniquet (MAT) proven to be the fastest, easiest to use and most effective 1-hand tourniquet in military medic training tests. MATs are constructed of the highest- quality and durable materials included DuPont Acetel and Nylon 66, to withstand combat-proven impact and extreme temperature ranges (-40º to 200+ºF). MATs repeatedly tested to survive 330 lb-ft pull force before component deflection (MATs sur- vived tests with no product or component failure and were reusable with full function). MATs have been repeatedly tested to demonstrated 145 ft-lb compression power generation (approx 3X+ that typically required for blood flow occlusion). MATs have been repeatedly tested to demonstrated 380- 503 ft-lb of tensile strength (approx. 9X - 12X typi- cally required for blood flow occlusion) (All strength and power tests were conducted 1/05-2/05 by Stork Materials Testing and Inspection, accredited A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9002 and NADCAP lab.)
